Publishing integration
Publish to GoHighLevel
Publishes via the GoHighLevel v2 Blog API using a Private Integration token. Verify field names against your API version.
How it works
Connects through GoHighLevel's v2 API using a Private Integration token from your sub-account.
Before you start
- A GoHighLevel sub-account with the Blogs feature enabled
- A Private Integration token generated from that sub-account's settings
- The sub-account's Location ID
Setup
Three steps to connect
Step 1
Get your private integration token
Settings -> Private Integrations -> Create with blogs.write scope.
Step 2
Enter your site details
- Location (sub-account) ID *In the sub-account, Settings -> Business Profile -> Location ID (also in the URL after /location/).
- Blog ID *Sites -> Blogs -> open the target blog -> the ID is in the URL, or returned by GET /blogs on this location.
Step 3
Connect and publish
Once connected, approved posts publish straight to GoHighLevel automatically. No export, no import, no copy-pasting into a CMS. Setup runs from your own client portal, so credentials for GoHighLevel stay with you; the agency never has to hold or request them separately.
Troubleshooting
If something doesn’t connect
Connection test fails with a version-mismatch error
GHL's v2 API requires a Version header on every request, which is handled automatically. If a test still fails, confirm the token was generated as a Private Integration, not an older API key.
Connection test fails with "Location ID is required"
The Location ID belongs to the specific sub-account, not the agency-level account. It's shown in that sub-account's settings.
Frequently asked questions
It's newer than the others here. GHL's v2 API is still evolving, so it's worth a quick test post before relying on it for a real launch.
A Private Integration token from your GHL sub-account settings, scoped to what you need.
Each connection is scoped to one sub-account's Location ID. A second sub-account needs its own connection.
Credentials are encrypted at rest and only ever used server-side to publish. Nobody, including us, can view them again once saved.
Nothing changes on GoHighLevel itself. Everything already published stays exactly as it is. New posts just stop syncing until it's reconnected.
