How to read the result
Use this to rank keywords against each other, not to forecast. A low-volume search with buying intent often beats a high-volume one that converts at a tenth of the rate, and this makes that visible.
Take the click-through rate from your own data. In Search Console, filter to searches where you already rank near your target position and use the rate you actually get.
The formula
SEO and AI searchVisits = search volume × click-through rate.
Revenue potential = visits × visit-to-customer rate × revenue per customer.
Frequently asked questions
Your own. Rates vary with the search, the result page layout and whether an AI Overview appears. Search Console shows your click-through rate by position for searches similar to the one you are assessing.
Tools estimate it, and they group close variants differently. Treat it as an order of magnitude. A page that ranks usually also picks up many related searches the tool never counted.
