ARR growth calculator

Enter your starting annual recurring revenue and how it moved over the period. The calculator gives ending ARR, net new ARR and the growth rate.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent or saved.

Ending ARR

$2,600,000

Net new ARR
$600,000
ARR growth
30%

How to read the result

Net new ARR hides its parts. The same figure can come from strong sales with heavy churn or from modest sales with almost none, and those are different businesses. Read the four movements separately.

The formula

Revenue

Ending ARR = starting ARR + new + expansion − contraction − churn.

Growth = net new ARR ÷ starting ARR.

Frequently asked questions

Recurring revenue lost from customers who stay but pay less: downgrades, fewer seats or a discount at renewal. Churned ARR is revenue from customers who leave entirely.

No. ARR is the annualised value of recurring subscriptions at a point in time. Annual revenue is what was recognised over the year, including non-recurring items.
