Google News is a news aggregation service available at news.google.com and as an app. It organizes articles from many publishers into topics and personalized feeds. Google also uses news content across Search, including Top Stories and the News tab. Inclusion is automatic for content that meets Google News content policies; publishers can use Google Publisher Center to manage how their publication appears.
Getting included
Google moved away from an application process. Its systems find news content automatically. Clear dates and bylines, transparent information about the publisher and its staff, and original reporting all help. Google News policies prohibit things like deceptive practices, manipulated media and content that is mainly ads.
Publisher Center and news sitemaps
Google Publisher Center lets publishers manage their publication's name, logo and sections in Google News. A news sitemap can help Google find recent articles quickly; it should list articles from roughly the last two days.

</url>Is it worth it for SaaS?
Most SaaS blogs are not news publishers, and Google News is not a core channel for them. It is worth considering if you publish regular, timely industry news or original reporting. For product announcements, a clear press page and coverage in real news outlets is usually more effective.
Common mistakes
Labeling marketing posts as news
Promotional content rarely meets news policies and adding a news sitemap does not change that.
Questions
There is no application. Content meeting the policies is found automatically. Publisher Center is for managing how you appear.
