How to read the result
A site-wide rate blends very different pages. A pricing page and a glossary entry should not convert alike, so split the rate by page type before deciding anything is underperforming.
A rising rate with falling traffic can simply mean you lost the visitors who were never going to convert. Watch the number of conversions, not only the rate.
The formula
AcquisitionConversion rate = conversions ÷ visitors.
Frequently asked questions
One action that matters to the business, such as a demo request, trial start or sign-up, defined the same way every time.
